AGO strives to not use harmful substances in our products. We have, with the help of an independent third party, developed the "AGO Chemical restrictions" who are based on Swedish and European laws. The document is to be signed by the suppliers of AGO to ensure their compliance with our restrictions.

RoHS
The RoHS directive states that the use of quicksilver, led, cadmium, sexvärt krom and the flame retardants PBDE and PBB in new electronical and electrical products are prohibited, as of July 1 2006.

REPA
REPA is the Swedish business world's solution to manufacturer responsibility for packaging of plastic, metal, paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard. AGO pays a packaging fee to REPA and thus fulfil the demands on the company by the Swedish packaging directive.

El-kretsen
AGO AB has manufacturers responsibility and is a member of El-kretsen. AGO also pays a return fee for all electrical products that we import and sell. El-kretsen is the Swedish business world's service company for the gathering and recycling of electrical and electronical products. The operation is financed through fees from the manufacturers, and is owned by several branch organisations.

We also pay an environmental fee to Naturvårdsverket, a Swedish organisation for the preserving of our nature and environmental care, when we import battery driven products. This is to ensure that they are properly recycled according to the directives of El-kretsen.
